HTMMA Vignettes

Just before the last days of October 2006, the eighth grade class of HTMMA, mysleft, included, went on a trip to get some much needed R&R and to get to know each other near the town of Julian. The trip was filled with soccer, basketball, volleyball, rope courses, running around at night, and stading at the top of the diving board saying, "I'm not gonna do it this time!". There is no doubt in my mind that 8th grade retreat will be one of the memories from HTMMA that will stay with me forever.

On the dying day of February 2007, the students of the Staff/Holme's team in the 8th grade of HTMMA, performed their musical tributes to resilient members of our community. My parter and I were paying tribute to Moses and my partner's grandfather, who had escaped the Nazi's holocaust. We could not use the piano which was so vital to our presentation(because the piano was on the computer), so we had to make the piano noise ourselves. This was disatrously funny. Members of the audience started laughing which made us laugh, obviously, and ruined the mood of our piece. This is one of the more embarrassing moments because there were surivers of the Holocaust in the audience.
